Comedy Gala Annual Fundraiser

Its that time of year again for the GENI Foundation to celebrate with sponsors and friends by having a full-on funfilled night of laughter at the Comics Lounge.

As volunteers, we are always raising funds for projects, one of them is installing solar panels on pensioners rooftops. We are currently working on the project #5.

1. Astrological Forecast for the Month

June Forecast

We are currently in Gemini season. The Gemini season runs from 22 May through to 21 June. It is an Air element, a Mutable sign and is ruled by the planet Mercury, the planet of communition, the intellect, your mental acquity, your thoughts and ideas.

This Gemini energy engages curiosity, adaptability and flexibility of the mind, a time when you can multitask easily. Engaging in and trying out new projects and possibilities.

Gemini's signature is fast moving, you may receive a download of new ideas or breakthroughs that can release you some stuck stagnate energy. A fabulous time to socialise, maybe have a dinner party where you can all brainstorm a new adventurous trip together.

Venus Moves into Taurus

Venus moves into Taurus on 6 June and will remain there for the whole month until 4 July. Venus is the planet of social harmony and relationships, it rules love and beauty. Venus also has a good eye for art and creativity, I always like to say that Venus knows how to put the cream and cherry on top and makes it beautiful.

The planet Venus rules Taurus and it is very comfortable in its home sign. The adjective "delicious" is ideal for this Venus in Taurus energy since it's frequently connected to fine dining and other top-shelf quality items. Venus associates with anything that is sensual, occasionally hedonistic. Everything that is opulent, delicate, harmonious and of course beautiful.

Jupiter Moves into Cancer

On 9 June, the planet Jupiter moves in Cancer and will remain there for a whole year. Jupiter is often called the lucky planet because of its association with growth and expansion. Cancer is known for its nurturing, loving and kindness energy, It understands compassion and empathy.

Cancer is a cardinal sign, and when the planet hits 0 degrees of a cardinal sign; Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, it is called an Aries Point. It's a time of high visibility, you are in the public's eye. Something wants to be revealed so mind your p's and q's, be on your best behaviour because this is when the spotlight is shining on you.

In order to nourish and comfort others, we must comprehend the vibrations and vibes that will be flowing through us all during this beautiful Jupiter in Cancer time. Mother yourself so you can then understand what it means to nurture and comfort others.

If you have children, perhaps a puppy, cat, or other pet, recall what it was like to become a parent. Recall the flood of unwavering affection that poured out for a tiny person or pet. Family will come forward during this time, whether they are your parents, friends, children, or a group energy that feels like a family, just feel the emotional affection and participate in it. This is Jupiter's energy in Cancer.


Full Moon in Sagittarius

On 11 June, we have a Full Moon in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter. The quest for Sagittarius is the seeker of truth. 

Since Sagittarius can become overly righteous and devoted to their opinions in either the right or wrong way, meaning that my opinion is right and yours is wrong, this is of course is the exaggerated shadow side of Sagittarius. 

The higher level viewpoint is that truth can flow in a variety of ways and we only see small portions of it. Instead of being virtuous about your own viewpoint, you may show some respect for others' differing interpretations and be captivated by them.

There are many layers to this Full Moon in Sagittarius because we have Venus square Pluto, and Jupiter conjunct Mercury square Saturn and Neptune, also Mars squares Uranus. You can say it's all happening and this full on will energy will flow on throughout the rest of the month.

This is a very potent Full Moon for sure. During this electric wave of energy that is sweeping through us all, be sure to ground yourself. Avoid becoming sucked into it. Get some exercise, spend time outside in the sunshine, do something physically constructive, like moving your furniture or gardening, do something you can measure to burn off the surplus energy. You will feel good about your achievements and have a strong sense of confidence as a result.

Cancer Solstice

On 21 June, this is the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere, our longest night of the year and really the first day of winter. In the northern hemisphere its the longest day of the year for them, their summer solstice and their first day of summer.

There is another Aries Point activation occuring here because the Sun is also moving into cardinal Cancer, and will be at 0 degrees of Cancer. The Aries Point is a time when you are the centre of attention, so be careful to act appropriately because people will be observing your actions and activities.

This solstice is a powerful period for dynamic tensions to occur all around us because so many other planets are on the angles making profound statements. We have the Sun conjunct Mars and Jupiter in Cancer squaring Saturn and Neptune in Aries.

On the global scene, the Sun and Jupiter conjunction in Cancer may suggest that warring nations may be able to negotiate a settlement for amicable peace arrangements to be achieved.

On a personal level, because Cancer is that loving kind and nurturing energy, allow yourself to be practical and centred by grounding yourself, connecting with the earth and connecting with love. Feel Mother Earth's love energy.

New Moon in Cancer

On 25 June, we have a New Moon in Cancer. That beautiful Cancer energy continues throughout whats left of the month with this New Moon.

The New Moon is once again being aspected by a large number of planets; Moon conjunct Jupiter and Sun in Cancer Square Neptune and Saturn in Aries. They are all pushing us to balance our two sides, to be brave, self-reliant, loving, kind and connected.

The higher level of Aries is that pioneering self-sufficiency side that says, I know I can handle whatever life brings me, I know I am up to the task of navigating life with wonderful confidence. The shadow side of Aries can be selfish, arrogant, and so competitive that it is assertive, but not in a pleasant way.

Make use of this loving, nurturing, calming, and soothing energy of Cancer, it is a wonderful time to let family and friends know that you care about them. It's also a great time to remind people that they are strong and capable, that you believe in them, and that they are capable of handling life's challenges.

What a wonderful powerful month and year ahead

2. Tarot Cards Insight into the Energy of the Month...

Every month, I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

These two Tarot cards are also loaded on my Tarot Mastery private Facebook group for students of Tarot in Action to explore the meanings and share their insights with others.

~ I asked the Tarot cards what is the energy for the month of June 2025.
~ What do we need to be mindful of, so we can make the most out of it for ourselves and for others.

The 2 of Cups is in the Conscious position, and The Fool is in the Unconscious position.

Summary...

Lovely to see two very favourable cards for this month.

The 2 of Cups in the conscious position shows balance within ourselves and with those we love and our relationships around us.

The Fool in the unconsconcious position shows an inner confidence that will help us take that step forward.

Overall, a wonderful June month ahead, filled with love and an inner balance within ourselves to then assist us to step out into new horizons or have the courage to move into new relationships, creating new adventures, new projects or even a new work position.

2 of Cups

This is one of those cards everyone wants to see in their tarot spreads. There is beautiful symmetry shown here. There is a man and a woman, the 2 cups are at the same height, the cadeusus and the dove wings are also showing balance.

The number 2 is all about harmony, peace and balance. Cups has to do with feelings, emotions and love. This card depicts equality and love especially in a relationship or it may be depicting an inner balance within the self.

I love how the masculine energy is showing the active action energy, he is the one that is stepping forward and reaching out for her. The feminine is the receiver, showing passive energy, The wreaths around their heads shows a celebration is going on.

The bottom of the card is a gold in colour which is symbolic for source energy or in other words, we are looking at soul mates here.

The Fool

This is a major arcana. The Fool represents the spirit/soul standing on the edge of a precipice. He is not looking at where he is going. Depicts we are open to taking a leap into the unknown.

Our spirit/soul hurtling through space, like reincarnation, gathering new experiences and bringing them with us as we start a new life. Yes, this is very big picture energy.

The white dog is his trusty mate. Animals in the tarot represents our inner animal instincts. Our instincts are loyal to us, like how a dog is loyal to a man, hence the term, man's best friend. Trust that your instincts won't lead you astray.

The energy of The Fool is like having a childlike reaction to anything that is new. Naievte, being spontaneous, and having that trust and confidence to step into something you have never experienced before.

A fabulous quote here would be, "Beginners Luck!"

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC

We have been gathering for the LunaBears Picnic since 2007.

We raised $780 in October 2024

Thank you to Mastersons Bar. Heartfelt thank you to all that attended and to everyone that contributed. 16 people in total contributed this year, it means a lot to our furry friends!
    
The funds go directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through Free The Bears, with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
