Sending you all a love heart

The month of May is full of love energy, we start the month with Global Love Day on the 1st, and then its followed by Mothers Day on the 11th.

Two other special days I love to celebrate is Star Wars Day on the 4th - May the fourth be with you! Then we have World Tarot Day on 25th May.

There are other special days this month to be aware of, National Volunteer Day, Mental Health Week, Wear Blue for Dolly Day, National Voluneteers Day and Smile Day. I love all these special days because they bring awareness to all these organisations, for example, where would we be without all the volunteers, we need to acknowledge the work they do. The more we become aware, the more discussions and actions will happen.

1. Astrological Forecast for the Month

May Forecast

We are currently in Taurus season. The Taurus season runs from 20 April through to 20 May. It is an Earth element, a Fixed sign and is ruled by the planet Venus, the planet of love beauty and pleasure.

Time to slow down, enjoy the little luxuries, and really soak in the cozy, grounding vibes. Taurus energy is all about loyalty, comfort, beauty, and that steady determined drive. This often gets mixed up with being stubborn, but really its because its a fixed sign, this really assists them in acheiving their goals.

Taureans are known for their love of food, appreciation for luxury, and sensual enjoyment of the finer things in life, top shelf bargains as I say. They are also known for their patience, loyalty, and determination.

Venus Integration Cycle

Venus is the planet of social harmony and relationships, it rules love and beauty, Venus also has a good eye for art and creativity:
~ Venus entered Aries in February then went retrograde
~ Venus re-entered Aries on 30 April and will remain there until 6 June
~ Mercury conjuncts Chiron in Aries on 7 May
~ Venus conjuncts Chiron in Aries on 1 June

We have been experiencing a lot of Aries development lately, not just with Venus travelling through Aries, there is also Mercury in Aries and then Saturn will move into Aries later this month. Then on 7 May, Mercury conjuncts Chiron in Aries and Venus will also conjuct Chiron in Aries as if they are emphasing a point for us.

The first sign of the zodiac, Aries, is fearless, the sign of the warrior and all about pioneering energy. This sign is action-oriented and exudes confidence. The transits of Mercury and Venus are emphasising the support for the larger and longer cycles of Saturn in Aries, which will last 2.5 years and Neptune in Aries, which will last 14 years. 

Personally, this energy is saying, it's a great time to examine your progress. How much has your sense of self increased over the past several months? With your worldview? With your levels of bravery? Then be sure to integrate and absorb what you have developed, as well as to acknowledge and congratulate yourself.

Full Moon in Scorpio

On 12 May, we have a Full Moon in Scorpio. This Full Moon in Scorpio is opposite the Sun and Uranus conjunct in Taurus. This is powerfully dynamic and exciting energy, this of course is the positive view point.

The shadow side is because Uranus is passing through Algol, a highly significant, intense, and volatile location where individuals occasionally tend to lose their composure and heads over minor matters. But this does not mean we have to react in this way during this time.

Uranus is primarily about change and adventure; it is mildly disruptive, note that not all disruptions have to be negative. Be mindful, you may read or hear other interpretations that just focus on the negativity out there.

Personally, the Moon in Scorpio is intensely emotional because Scorpio is opposite two planets in Taurus, which are also fixed signs. This is a fantastic opportunity to start developing new routines, new ideas, habits and behaviours and they will last because of the fixed modalities.

We experience planets in this case; Uranus, the Sun, and the Full Moon more strongly because they are directly on the MC and IC angles. 

The Sun conjunct Uranus right on the MC offers us the opportunity to release whats not working for us any more and begin something new. This is a very positive interpretation.

Uranus Activation

The Uranus energy is very strong and will continue to play out for the rest of this year.
~ 24 May with Mercury conjunct Uranus
~ 15 August with Mars square Uranus
~ 3 July with Venus conjunct Uranus

Understanding and accepting that Uranus is approaching the final degrees of Taurus is important. In July, it will pass into Gemini, then retrograde back into Taurus to end its transit. In 2026, it will enter Gemini and remain there for seven years.

The conjunction of Mercury and Uranus, this is an excellent day to be more creative, think outside the box and be more impulsive. Uranus and Mercury are both air elements that are associated with the intellect, thoughts and mind. It's a great opportunity to expand your belief systems and download new applications and worldly views.

With Mars in Leo square Uranus, this is an excellent time for attracting all positive things. Be aware that accidents, violence, earthquakes and power outages are all possible too. But there is also room for change, impromptu adaptations, circulation and growth. The shadow side is that you will get stressed, worried and apprehensive, which is not good for the world nor for yourself.

There will always be some societal transformation that impacts society when Uranus is around. It brings about progress, adventure, change, and forward motion. Mercury is our thought and communication energy, Venus is our social energy and Mars is our action energy. No matter how it unfolds for you, use this energy to the fullest and highest levels possible.

Saturn Moves into Aries

On 24 May, Saturn moves into Aries and joins Neptune in Aries. This will also activate an Aries Point because we have 1 degree of Aries, a cardinal sign. It feels like the spotlight is on you during the Aries Point, a very visible moment that raises to the surface what needs to be seen and exposed. It reveals what must be revealed.

It's time to have faith in your self-assurance, independence, and self-responsibility. It's time to act and meet your demands. The shadow side is selfishness and aggression energy, the positive manifestation is making sure you meet your needs with confidence, power, and mindfulness.

Share this energy with those around you. Give others the same belief that, despite their difficulties, they are very competent and capable of handling the work. Say something like, "I believe in you, I know you will find the resource within you to handle the situation, and I am here if you need me," instead of feeling sorry for them.

New Moon in Gemini

On 26 May, we have a new Moon in Gemini. This New Moon is beautiful and greatly needed during this time. Compared to other recent lunations we've been experiencing with the overall heavier overtones, it has smoother energy, is quieter, and is much more enjoyable. You will perceive and feel, the spirit of the lightness, harmony, and regeneration that this New Moon brings.

Because Gemini is focused on the mind and how thoughts, words and communication lead to manifestation, this New Moon is typically similar to an affirmation Moon. It's important to remember that your subconscious mind interprets anything you say as an order. Your subconscious is your faithful obedient servant and it doesn't evaluate whether you say something positive or negative.

Therefore, realise that you are capable of effectively navigating any cycle you are going through and producing favourable and positive outcomes. Even while some cycles may be more difficult than others, what needs to move forward right now is that inner warrior's courage and self-belief. Enjoy this playful and delighful energy that will be radiating and take some time to connect with all that great manifesting energy.

2. Tarot Cards Insight into the Energy of the Month...

Every month, I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

These two Tarot cards are also loaded on my Tarot Mastery private Facebook group for students of Tarot in Action to explore the meanings and share their insights with others.

~ I asked the Tarot cards what is the energy for this month of May 2025.
~ What do we need to be mindful of, so we can make the most out of it for ourselves and for others.

The 7 Pentacles is in the Conscious position, and 6 Pentacles is in the Unconscious position.



Summary...

Nice to see two cards from the same suit following on from each other as if stressing a point.

The 7 Pentacles in the conscious postion looks like the figure doesn't know what to do with his lot and so he is reflecting on everything.

Whereas the figure in the 6 pentacles in the unconscious position knows exactly what he needs to do about it and is balancing things perfectly. 

May need to do some work around your finances or what really is of value to you this month, deep down you already know.

7 of Pentacles

The number 7 is about reassessment, reviewing and sitting with things before we continue.

You notice the figure is wearing blue under-garments which is the colour of intuition, feelings and emotions. He feels he has put alot of love into his project and he is not content with the return. Its been a labour of love for him and this is why it is difficult to continue without assessing the situation.

The project did grow however, it has given him a return, you can see the new growth and the pentacle at his feet, but he expected so much more.

So he is now wondering what does he need to do next to merit his efforts and get the maximum return. This card always reminds me to not put all your eggs in the one basket.

6 of Pentacles

The number 6 is about harmony and also protecting that harmony.

This figure reminds me of a lawyer because he holds the scales, it also connects to the Justice major arcana. The left hand connects us with our instincts and the scales suggests balance, meaning he knows how to intuitively create balance in his life.

This card also connects us to the universe, spirit always knows how to keep the balance.

When this card shows up for you, it may suggest that something is out of balance and you many need to do some work to re-balance things.

People in these positions of power, whether a doctor or lawyer, etc. always do pro-bono work. They know when to charge and when to support those in need. This is a labour of love. Its like they know what it means to become wealthy. When you make other people wealthy, thats when you understand the meaning of true wealth.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC

We have been gathering for the LunaBears Picnic since 2007.

We raised $780 in October 2024

Thank you to Mastersons Bar. Heartfelt thank you to all that attended and to everyone that contributed. 16 people in total contributed this year, it means a lot to our furry friends!
    
The funds go directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through Free The Bears, with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
