GENI Foundation Comedy Gala Fundraiser 
Another fabulous night was had at the Comics Lounge. Thank you to everyone that joined us on the night. We wined and dined and laughed a lot!
We choose this 5 June date every year because we like to honour and celebrate the UN World Environment Day. All our funds from this event goes towards the Solar Panel for Pensioners Program (SPPP).  Welcome to Cancer Season
The Cancer season runs from 21 June through to 22 July. It is a Water element, a Cardinal sign and is ruled by the Moon, the planet that rules our emotions and feelings, our sensitivities our subconscious and unconscious mind and our intuitive world.
This Cancer energy is particularly very strong this month, you may be able to pick up on others feelings and energies very easily, like feeling the undercurrents of what is really going on, sometimes before others are even aware of how they feel themselves.
The Moon rules our memories and the past, so Cancers often hold on to childhood experiences, traditions, or emotional connections. They can be very sentimental and find comfort in familiar places, people, families and their particular routines.
JULY FORECAST
 Mercury Rx in Cancer
Let's start with Mercury retrograde in the sign of Cancer, it will remain retrograde until 23 July. Keep in mind that Mercury entered Cancer at the beginning of June, went retrograde at the end of June. Mercury will go direct on the 23 July but will remain in Cancer until 9 August.
Mercury is the planet that guides our thoughts according to the specific sign it is in. Mercury is also connected to how we should think. The sign of Cancer is a water sign that is imaginative, sensitive, sympathetic, very perceptive, and creative. Cancer is also very family-oriented, nurturing, and nourishing.
Therefore, this Mercury retrograde in Cancer is teaching us to have a deeper understanding of our emotional responses during this period, which lasts through June, July, and the first half of August. Thus, pay close attention, particularly during the retrograde period. Observe your emotional responses and the things that set you off. Pay attention to that, especially if it's not useful, because you might be able to reframe and recover. The mid-month new moon in cancer is when the healing potential is at its strongest.
The fact that the intuitive signals during this period will be incredibly potent is remarkable. It's possible that Mercury in Cancer in June has already caused you to experience things, like strong dreams and acute awareness, glimpses of the future. All your senses and intuition are all particularly potent at the moment. Instead of using reasoning, thinking is coming from your gut feelings.
 Mars-Uranus Conjunction
The configuration between Mars and Uranus, which is at its climax in a conjunct on 4 July, is another crucial moment in time for us to look at.
Numerous earthquakes began to occur on 24 July. Unfortunately, there were two large earthquakes in Venezuela that caused a great deal of damage. There were numerous earthquakes along the Ring of Fire, including one in California and one on the coast of Japan.
Earthquales are fairly common when Mars-Uranus interact with one another whether they are conjunct, square or opposite each other. This is a rather common phenomenon.
Note that its the USAs 250th Anniversary of Independence on 4 July. Im sure there will be fireworks in celebration. The conjunction of Mars and Uranus in Gemini on the anniversary is quite significant. It saying that the United States is going through a phase of growth and expansion of sorts, maybe an adjustment, its like the planets are saying, "Let's get some stagnation out and let's bring some new patterns in."
On a personal level, let's hope this combination of planets brings a breakthrough of some kind for all of us. Sometimes you need these powerful planets to give you the surge you need to have a breakthrough from whatever is constricting you or holding you back.
 New Moon in Cancer
On the 14 July, we have a New Moon in Cancer. There is a very auspicious positive flowing energy that is associated with a configuration in the chart that represents a turning moment for all of humanity. The combination of our outer planets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto and then Jupiter is also in the mix that will expand or amplify it even more so.
This exact arrangement was dubbed the Barbault Basket after the renowned French Astrologer Andre Barbault, he passed away in 2019 before the Pandemic. He described this combination of planets in this basket shape which looks like they are all trining each other, as the most favorable planetary alignment of the century.
The Barbault Basket is active during this New Moon in Cancer. This phase has a really unique energy that is telling you to be conscious of what causes your emotional reactions. Do you control your own reactions? Have a good look at this. Alternatively, the cosmos may intervene, press your buttons and cause some inexplicable reaction, as if its testing you. So, be mindful of operating from your highest levels and begin controlling your own mental state.
Another thing you can do during this New Moon in Cancer, is spend time with your family and friends. Tell them you love, respect, and honor them, giving them heaps of hugs and taking care of yourself as well, nurture and nourish the self, are all wonderful things to do during this time.
 Four Outer Planets Alignment
~ Jupiter: 4o Leo – the amplifier
~ Uranus: 4o Gemini
~ Neptune: 4o Aries
~ Pluto 4o Aquarius
From the 19-21 July we have the most beneficial configuration of the century according to Andre Barbault, a French Mundane Astrologer that also predicted the Pandemic. Sadly, he passed away in 2019.
This combination of planets, a wonderful configuration named after him, the Barbault Basket. Note that all four planets are exact at 4 degrees in their signs.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto have been interacting with each other since February of this year, all in very close proximity. But between 19-21 July they happen to all be exact at 4 degrees. Then Jupiter comes in, also at 4 degrees and acts as the amplifier because Jupiter is known as the planet of growth and expansion.
The outer planets are also known as the collective planets, they are ambassadors of Earth, they affect everyone on the planet. Its like a pivot point for us to rebuild humanity in some way, maybe an opportunity for us to transition, raise our vibration so we are ready to receive the next level.
 Mercury Direct Cancer
On 23 July, Mercury will turn Direct at 16 degrees of Cancer. The old way of looking at retrogrades is a very negative view. Some astrologers still hold this negative or fear-based outlook, especially around Mercury retrogrades.
They would say that Mercury's retrogrades anticipates delays. Otherwise its your computer that will malfunction. Flights will be delayed or printers will run out of toner. And when you hear all that, what impression does that leave on your mind? It makes it clear that this cycle is not healthy.
Mercury goes retrograde three times per year, it could squeeze in a fourth if there is a retrograde early in the year. The retrograde period itself lasts max 3 weeks. What you need to remember is that the energy of the planet does not change, its the action that changes.
Therefore, it's usually an extremely productive period. Fabulous time to reorganise your way of thinking. For example, think about telling yourself that you should anticipate clarity throughout the Mercury retrograde cycle, and you will! Not only on the day it goes direct, but anticipate clarity when Mercury is actually going through its retrograde phase.
 Full Moon in Aquarius
On 29 July, we have the Full Moon in Aquarius. During this Full Moon, the Barbault Basket formation is still active. Jupiter is the only planet that has moved considerably forward by 2 degrees, instead of being at 4 degrees like the others, it now sits at 6 degrees. However, these outer planets continue to have their affect and this will continue throughout the rest of year. The outer planets move very slowly and they will also retrograde. It just happens to be very very strong energy in July.
What makes this Aquarius full moon really noteworthy is that the Sun has moved into Leo and is conjunct Jupiter, which makes it truly lovely and wonderfully blazing, eager energy. It has the power to help you stop saying negative things to yourself. It's about believing in yourself, to love yourself at a new level, and to have confidence in your own abilities. It's a really powerful time.
Its time to allow yourself to adore who you are during this time without worrying about being overly self-centered. Women in particular are told not to boast or share their achievements with others. Also, women are far more likely than men to have such programming. Then women begin to minimise their accomplishments or denigrate themselves more. I hear a lot of woman lately talk about this imposter syndrome, its a real thing all of a sudden.
Well, you can love yourself, tell yourself you're amazing and have faith in your good intentions during this lovely full moon. Recognise that your motives are loving. Nobody is flawless. We are all fallible. It is quite different when it originates from a loving goal as opposed to manipulation, control, or ego, isn't it?
Thus, with this full moon give yourself the opportunity to show up as a leader, shine, and embrace your own self-love. Furthermore, being a leader does not include managing a large group of people. It entails radiating your inner authenticity to the outside world. I hope you grow and shine because this is really, very lovely energy. Allow yourself to glow out there.

Every month, I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck representing the Unconscious. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

~ What do we need to be mindful of, so we can make the most out of it for ourselves and for others.
~ Knight of Wands is in the Conscious position, and The Moon is in the Unconscious position.
  Summary...
Very contradictory energy here.
In the conscious out there position is the Knight of Wands, he is very masculine active energy and in the unconscious position we have The Moon. The Moon is all about the inner unconscious world, plus its a Major Arcana, so we need to pay attention to this.
On the surface its seems to be all action and ready to go,go and go! But beneath the surface there may be confusion or illusion, so take your time with making any quick decisions this month.
Knight of Wands
Knights are all about action, because you can see the knight dressed ready for battle. Horses are a symbol of your vehicle through life, they also represent that its happening right now.
The orange colour has to do with vitality, confidence and courage. Yellow is the colour of knowledge, ideas and the mind. You can also see the flames coming off his helmet, his elbows and even off the horses mane.
The silver armor represents mystical powers. He is all revved up and charging. He sits quite comfortably in the saddle, holding his wand which represents his skills or talents.
This Knight of Wands is an alpha male, whatever he does, he makes it look easy. He is sporty, healthy and robust. Very creative and enterprising, always on the move conjuring something.
The Moon
The Moon is all about deeper unconscious material and issues. Its like saying its dark out there, and the path is not clear, so its best to put on your headlights and be extra alert.
You can see that The Moon is eclipsing the Sun. When the Sun is out, everything is clear, bright and shining, you can see where you are going. The eclipse is suggesting that something is being masked or overshadowed and we cannot see what its blocking.
The Moon always reminds me about confusion. When you are confused, its as if you are stuck, but this is a blessing in disguise, because its stopping you from saying something that you may not be able to take back. Or its stopping you from doing something and later on you wish to didn't do it.
There are what seems to be Moon dew droplets. These are knows as Yods in the Tarot, they are symbolic of blessings from the universe.
So, for this month of July, while The Moon is out, things may still be in the dark or things may seem unclear, therefore, take your time, maybe take a nap and sleep on things before you act upon them.
