 Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2023!
And just like that, another new year begins!
May this new year bring you the opportunity you seek to advance in your projects, career, lifestyle and relationships.
2023 is Universal Year Number 7
2023 adds up to the Universal Year number of 7. I like to think of 7 as God's Number, because on the 7th day he rested and reflected on what he did.
It is a spiritual number and also known as a magical number. For example, there are 7 days to a week, 7 colours in the rainbow, 7 musical notes, 7 main chakras, 7 pillars of wisdom, 7 continents and 7 seas, as well as 7 dwarfs and the 7 year itch!
So what energy does this year hold for all of us? Because 7 is the number of introspection and reassessment, I feel it is a year of reviewing where we are at. 7 gives us the space to prepare, plan and research on what is next.
Some people may be drawn to studying a course which is a perfect thing to do during this 7th year of reflection and research. Others may finally take up Yoga and Meditation and learn to go within.
Take your time, you have all year to work on it. Go within and reassess things, because when you come back out you will trim your life in some way, which is exactly what you are supposed to do during this 7 Universal year,

 The Sun is in Capricorn. We begin the month with this strong, practical enthusiasm that is eager to accomplish things and advance things. Capricorn is an earth sign with a strong sense of strategy and grounding.
We may use this organised, patient, ambitious energy as we usher in the new year and the new patterns.
This ambitious energy leads us to Jupiter transiting Aries.
 When Jupiter enters Aries the energy is swift because both Jupiter and Aries are governed by fire signs and this transit will last until mid-May. Jupiter in Aries is a very powerful and fast-moving sign.
The expanding energy will then drastically change when Jupiter enters the earthy Taurean sign in the middle of May. Earth signs don't move forward with the same potent energy that Aries does.
Fire spreads like wildfire, it's a powerful force. There is movement and activity energy. If you want something to move forward, this energy will assist you. Anything is attainable with this courageous and initiation energy. Wonderful opportunity to join in something new, take that chance, time for to develop and allow it to flourish. Launch a new endeavour; start that new project, just do it!
The ending of the remaining retrograde phase of all the planets also signals a change in all this momentum energy.
All this happens at the start of the New Year in January, its a unique acceleration and it will last for several months.
All these direct motion planets combined with Jupiter in Aries moving so fast is like being in a race car. The lights turn green, you step on the gas and you feel the surge of power moving you forward.
Recognize that when we enter the first quarter of 2023, we are given the wonderful gift of no friction and no roadblocks due to all the planets moving in direct motion.
 On the 12 January - Mars ends its retrograde phase in Gemini. Aries is ruled by Mars.
You may sense this physical energy moving things along as Mars moves direct. It's time to put all those ideas that have been percolating beneath the surface into action.
 On 18 January - Mercury ends its retrograde phase in Capricorn. You have been reevaluating, reconsidering, and reorganising throughout Mercury's retrograde phase.
When Mercury is in retrograde phase, it is a very productive time because a lot of concepts can be internalised.
You now have the opportunity to let these thoughts and ideas out into the world with Mercury going direct. Time to move them all along.
 On 22 January - Uranus ends retrograde phase in the sign of Taurus. This sparks a flood of creative energy.
You have been percolating and pondering with these new innovative ideas within yourself.
You have been thinking about new levels of personal freedoms, now is the time that they can be stated publicly in the world, move it forward..
Venus is also a strong contributor for us in January.
 Venus is the planet of interpersonal relationships, including those with coworkers, romantic partners, and humans in general.
Venus is also about our self worth, and in January Venus makes many connections with other planets highlighting our behaviour in relationships, asking us, can we hold our own power within a relationship?
 On 1 January - Venus conjuncts Pluto. Declare to yourself on January 1 that you are deserving of love, that you deserve to be loved, and that you are deserving of love simply because you are breathing.
Make this declaration with conviction. Explore this concept and practice maintaining your authority and personal space at all times.
 On 15 January - Venus squares Uranus. You will experience the freedom that comes from not worrying what other people think of you if you began the month by standing in your power, acknowledging your values, and anchoring them.
You won't lose your composure about what other people think of you nor will you get pushed you around if you are holding your own authority.
Venus and Uranus are squaring off in an effort to liberate you, reassure you, to love yourself and to feel all that love around you.
 On 22 January - Venus conjuncts Saturn. Saturn is all about being practical and creating strong foundations. Venus is all about being social, harmonious and loving.
This is the time for you to integrate, absorb, and form new habits that will help you maintain you standing in your power no matter what.
When you hold your own in your relationships, you will be stronger and you will feel the deeper connections and bonds in your relationships as well.
 On 6 Jan we have a Full Moon in Cancer. Cancer is about our emotions and feelings, our family and loved ones that care for us and love us.
We are given the opportunity to learn that we are always appreciated and supported throughout this Full Moon in Cancer. If only you are willing to receive it, there is comfort around you all the time and you will see it and feel it.
Step outside during this Full Moon period and enjoy the light of the Moon. Let it fill you up with the unwavering love and support that is available to you at all times.
 On 21 January we have a New Moon in Aquarius. This Aquarius New Moon will be at 1 degree of Aquarius. It will provide us with a sneak peek of Pluto's entry into Aquarius in late March.
This Aquarius New Moon will hearld this new period of experiencing new inner freedoms. It will be echoed and reinforced when Pluto enters Aquairus.
Now is the time to understand your own distinct personality. What is your signature, and your level of self-worth. How much self worth do you have, what do you value, how do you love and how much do you deserve to be loved and supported.

Every month I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.
I asked the Tarots what is the energy for this month of January? What do we need to be mindful of for this entire month?
I turned over The Hanged Man in the Conscious position and Queen of Swords in the Unconscious position.
  Well, The Hanged Man is a perfect energy for January. Everyone is still on holidays, many businesses are closed over the break and Mercury is currently in retrograde.
We are conscious of this laid back behaviour. Everything else can wait for now. This is exactly what the Xmas break is all about, being with family and having some sweet R & R. Also, there are no COVID restrictions, so everyone that can be together this year, yea!!
During this reflection time, that doesn't mean we are not preparing inwardly what needs to be get going once we get back to business. The Queen of Swords is sharpening her sword for when we return to work, return to our projects, for when Mercury goes direct again, and you will feel all systems are go!
In the meantime, take on The Hanged Man with full gusto... Relax! Don't do, just be! How quickly we return to all the busy-ness, running around, feeling like there in not enough time to do anything.
The Hanged Man is suspended from a tree. You can see the tree is green at both ends. Green is the colour of potential growth, expansion and creativity. Everything is growing as it should, so just give it the time it needs to grow.
The Hanged Man gives you the time to reflect, to let go of some ideas that really were not worth pursuing and to see things from a a different perspective. Stay in the tension and let that penny drop!
During your down time, you can plan and prepare, this is the energy of the Queen of Swords. This queen is very clear with her direction, she doesn't just jump in and sees what happens, she is like the Goddess Athena, using her strategy to win every battle and accomplishing what she sets out to do.
Summary
The Hanged Man is suggesting that the time is perfect to rest your weary head, lift your feet up and relax. Have those afternoon snoozes if you need too. Have a wonderful time-out with your family or with yourself and just let it all go.
The Queen of Swords suggests to have a dream or two and get things ready for when you return back to work, you will feel refreshed, you will see things with new eyes and you will be ready to kick it out of the ball-park!

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC @ MASTERSONS BAR
 Thank you to everyone that kindly donated to our LunaBears for 2022!
We did something different this year, we met at a bar, Mastersons Bar. We all brought a plate to share and it was lovely catching up with everyone. Those that couldn't make it, kindly donated.
We raised $540 in October 2022
The funds raised goes directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears organisation with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
