 Happy Lunar New Year of the Water Rabbit for 2023!
The year has begun slowly, which is perfect because we all need rest and relaxation, and time out with family and friends.
The beginning of the Lunar New Year indicates now is the time to get back to work. Also all the planets have gone in direct motion indicating this rush forward! More on the Astrology below.
Every year, I love sharing the Chinese Zodiac & Fengshui Handbook by WayFengshui Group with you, beautifully created by the Singapore team I have been working with since 2010.
The Year of the Water Rabbit can be visualized as a construction team working to build new houses for a village, denoting an environment where initiative is essential to establish solid foundations for the year ahead.
Opportunities abound this year of Water and Wood elements ruled by the Four Dark Green Star. Nevertheless, many temptations and uncertainties lie ahead of us. Plan for the future and avoid putting all your eggs in the one basket. Stay prepared for opportunities and strive hard to achieve success.
Goat, Tiger, Pig and Rooster
Those born in the year if the Goat, Tiger, Pig and Rooster will experience less-than-ideal luck and feel stressed die to frequent problems. Prone to mood swings, your immune system is likely to be affected and this may lead to illness and injuries. Stay clam when making important decisions and be careful in all that you do. Face challenges boldly instead of being passive and strive to improve yourself. Perseverance is key to getting through this year.
Dragon, Monkey, Snake and Ox
Those born in the year of the Dragon, Monkey, Snake and Ox will enjoy relatively stable luck. A new chapter lies ahead, so set aside your doubts and trust your abilities. You can succeed with diligence and constant self-improvement. Also, pay close attention to your surroundings to avoid falling into the traps of schemers. Dog, Rat, Rabbit and Horse
Those born in the year of the Dog, Rat, Rabbit and Horse will enjoy great luck and prosperity this year. Surrounded by benefactors, like will be smooth-sailing for you. Currently, the Aquarius season is in full swing. Aquarius is a fixed modality and an air element. It heavily influences how we think, what we believe, and how we interact with others.
 The month of February begins with a Full Moon in Leo on February 5. I absolutely love it when the Moon is in the Leo energy,
It is a fantastic opportunity to embrace our individuality. It offers us a tremendous dynamic, to walk like a lion striding proudly with self-assurance. This Full Moon in Leo gives us the opportunity to discover this quality about ourselves.
This Leo Full Moon forms a T-square with Uranus in Taurus while opposing the Sun in Aquarius. This T-square draws attention to our genuine style, our individuality, and our sense of self. It emphasises our capacity to accept this, to cherish it, to value it, and to wear it well. Be yourself and stop making excuses.
 Mercury has a strong influence throughout February. Mercurial themes of mental development are prominent this month. We have the chance to comprehend and understand our belief systems and thoughts. Keeping in mind that our thoughts and beliefs are what shapes our world.
Mercury and Pluto are aligned at 28 degrees of Capricorn on 10 February. This is significant since Pluto is in the final degrees of Capricorn, it will briefly enter the sign of Aquarius in early March before retrograding back into Capricorn.
A Mercury Pluto conjunction provides a thorough and insightful analysis of our belief systems. We have the chance to clean house and purge what is not working for us any more. Pluto is associated with purging, surrendering what no longer serves you.
It's time to assess your life and determine what needs improvement. What does your reality say about your beliefs? It's time to define our new beliefs clearly. Nurture your desires while letting go of outdated notions.
Mercury at 15 degrees Aquarius squares Uranus at 15 degrees of Taurus on 21 February. This square is significant because this combination of planets will enliven your thoughts and ideas. There is so much air element with Mercury, Uranus and Aquarius with Taurus the only grounding earth element. The chance to declare something to yourself like, "I adore my creative and original thinking, it suits me perfectly."
It can be really exciting to have these planets in a square. You may be receiving messages, downloading fresh content and original ideas. Come up with fabulous solutions to solve problems. Remember to purge the old stuck ideas to make space for the new.
Since Uranus represents Mercury's higher octave, their compatibility is like having access to a high-speed internet straight into your subconscious mind, which then flows out into the universe and creates whatever your thinking.
 On the 15 February Venus conjuncts Neptune. What a beautiful combination Venus and Neptune make around Valentine's Day.
This planetary configuration emphasises unwavering love, selflessness, sensitivity, beauty, and intuition. It gives you the opportunity to share it with the world, which is excellent because it makes the world a better place, share the love as they say. However, it also gives you the opportunity to experience the universal love energy pouring through you.
Whether you are in a relationship or not, you can enjoy Valentine's Day by remembering how much the divine, the cosmos, your guides and angels love and support you. After filling your spirit with all this love, then you may radiate that self-love out into the world.
 On 20 February we have the New Moon in Pisces. I also much love it when the Moon is in the dreamy sign of Pisces.
Pisces and the Moon are both water signs. They deal with abstract, fluid, creative, intuitive energy and have many reciprocal qualities. This combination offers us a lot of new emotional developments.
There is a huge difference between the start of this month with all that Aquarius, fixed, masculine energy, that structured focused and thinking function. This New Moon in Pisces by the end of the month offers us a softer, feminine, dreamy and spiritual quality. Time to turn inward again.

Every month I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.
I asked the Tarots what is the energy for this month of February 2023? What do we need to be mindful of for this entire month?
I turned over The High Priestess in the Conscious position and Judgement in the Unconscious position.
  We have 2 Major Arcana for the month of February. These 2 cards also connect beautifully.
Both connect to the Number 2, the feminine energy of peace, intuition, harmony, understanding, duality, sharing and being fair.
They also share the colour blue symbolising feelings and emotions. You can see all the blue water and blue skies on both cards. There are also crosses which symbolise the union of opposites.
The High Priestess holds the Tora, the Hebrew book of knowledge. She knows how to block out all that superfluous noise and tune into her truth. She knows that it all evens up in the end. She knows the answers and patiently waits for you to see them.
Whereas in the Judgement card, Archangel Gabriel is blowing his horn asking us to rise above and get back on track to what we agreed to do in this lifetime. I see the horn as a "call to action".
The 3 figures (The Magician, The Fool and The High Priestess), are all looking up and listening to the call. They are all standing out of the boxes (coffins) that they have put themselves in. They are all rising, resurrecting and reborn in wisdom (colour grey means wisdom) and ready to make a stand for what they believe in.
Summary
Nb: That in Astrology, all the planets are currently in direct motion until mid April, all systems are go!
Therefore, I feel February (ruled by Aquarius) is a month of rising up and getting things in motion. You have sat with the ideas long enough and have written the many lists (The Tora on The High Priestess lap), now is the time to stand up and get into action (Judgement).
Time for kids to get back to school, University is back in February, everyone returns back to work and courses have commenced after the holiday break. People have moved into new homes, or moved interstate, etc. Everyone is back into their routine.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC @ MASTERSONS BAR
 Thank you to everyone that kindly donated to our LunaBears for 2022!
We did something different this year, we met at a bar, Mastersons Bar. We all brought a plate to share and it was lovely catching up with everyone. Those that couldn't make it, kindly donated.
We raised $540 in October 2022
The funds raised goes directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears organisation with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
