You must all know by now about my volunteer work for the GENI Foundation. Well, we finally managed to have our Annual Fundraiser at the Comics Lounge.

1. Astrological Report For August

Get ready for a powerful month ahead. Since Jupiter and Saturn entered Aquarius in December last year we have been getting things ready, to get clear in our own minds so we can manage all the changes we are going through.

We start with Jupiter in Aquarius. Jupiter remains in Aquarius for the rest of the year. Aquarius holds the energy of the group mindset, its all about the global community, our humanitarian values, the brotherhood and sisterhood of man.

Aquarius highlights that we are all individuals, independent and unique. Currently, we are are all being challenged with this. The shadow side is when we are at odds with each other, especially around COVID and the vaccine issues, for example.

The higher view of Jupiter in Aquarius is how can we find harmony together? We can all be connected and don't have to think the same way. We all have different views, right? We are all learning, growing and expanding together. Our souls are already connected even when we don't see things the same way.

We also have Mars in Virgo for the entire month. Virgo is most happiest when in a routine, when the house is clean and our diet and health is sorted. Add that fiery energy planet of Mars to the mix and this energy really asks us to focus on these areas of our life.

Mars gives us a driving need to sanitize everything!

The shadow side of Mars in Aquarius is when we are very critical. That pedantic side of ourselves that looks at whats wrong with everything instead of what is right. Being very self-critical, then this can project out and we snap at others.

What adds to this critical energy is later in the month when Mars and Mercury both conjunct in Virgo. This will further fuel sarcasm and sharp-tongued criticism floating around in the air, we will have a lot to say about things and then projecting it out as well.

The highest level of Mars in Virgo is by earthing the energy, by simply cleaning your house, cleaning your body, by eating healthy diets and getting fit. Put systems in place that will get you in a good routine and habit, then you will have a great attitude too.

On 8 August we have a New Moon in Leo. The 8th of the 8th is also known as The Lions Gate, which is a very intense configuration of planets. Very auspicious date.

We are being asked to pay attention to creating harmony within ourselves. We all want freedom to create what we love and how we feel about things, not just be impacted by the energies.

The energy is very potent around this time, be mindful of what you are creating. Sprinkle the value of love onto everything you are doing.

The energy is powerfully strong, you will feel the potency, it will emotionally move you. Let your heart chakra shine confidently.

On 22 August we have Full Moon in Aquarius at 29 degrees. We already had a Full Moon in Aquarius in July at 1 degree. All this Aquarian energy is really making sure we get the message.

This is a very powerful Full Moon because it will be also conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius, opposite the Sun in Leo at 29 degrees, activating the heart of the lion.

The emotional energy of this Full Moon in Aquarius is very potent. We are being asked to connect with our power and how we manage this within ourselves and how we see it in others. How we connect to humanity and how can we love each other and still respect each other for having a different point of view.

The higher use of this energy is making sure our ego is in check, coming from our heart chakra and demonstrating our energy with love. Otherwise, we are coming from the shadow side and we become bossy, snobby and arrogant.

* The International Year of Fruits and Vegetables, and
* The International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour.

2. Tarot Cards Answer the Question of the Month...

Every month I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

The 1st of August every year is the Horses Birthday. There is a lot of trouble brewing about the plight of free horses around the world. In NSW the use of 1080, a lethal bait is still allowed to be used. In Victoria, its aerial shooting that controls these feral populations.  Whatever way we look at it, the Brumby and feral horses are in danger if not mustered and re-homed. 

What does the Tarot have to share about this issue and how can it be resolved. 

I turned over 2 of Swords in the Conscious position and Justice in the Unconscious position.
 

The first thing I notice about both cards are the swords.

Swords rule our mental attributes, our clarity, our thoughts and our decision making.

The 2 of Swords suggests we are uncertain or not clear about what is really going on here. Are we sticking our heads in the sand?

Some would say we are in two minds and not sure which way to go. Eg: NSW still uses dangerous 1080 baits and the animals suffer. In Victoria, this bait is banned, but shooting is allowed.

Also, Parks Victoria says its ok to cull these beauties because they are damaging the environment, and that these farm animals don't belong in the highlands. Others say the rehoming the Brumbies must be the first option.

So we are torn in which way to go and what to do.

There are people that have taken this matter to the Supreme Court (Justice), but they have lost their initial case and appeal.

More needs to be done, clarity (Justice) needs to be sort. There is a New Draft Plan under review. Results and decisons will be made.
 

In Summary, in relation to the question...
 

2 of Swords, hopefully the new review and draft here in Victoria will reconsider all the proposals put forward and we can make some clear decisions then we can move forward with this issue. You too can make a difference, by adding your voice to this cause. 

Justice, a ruling will be made. It has to be taken to the courts. This is the only way that the laws can be changed.

THE POWER OF 3 - ANNUAL EVENT

Every year, Jay Garland kindly presents the "Power of 3" workshop to all my doterra team.

Last year because of COVID lockdown rules here in our state of Victoria we used the Zoom function to connect with everyone. For this year, if we can gather at my shop we will otherwise we will be back on Zoom, stay tuned.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC
 

In 2020, we didn't get to gather for this years Annual LunaBears Picnic, but it didn't stop us raising the funds.

The funds is for the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
 

We raised $480 in 2020!
 

All the funds go towards, medicine, rescues, food, upkeep, you name it there is a lot of work that needs doing and all that costs money.
