 Happy 2026 Chinese New Year
of the Fire Horse!
The beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year on Tuesday 17 February 2026, indicates a time of power and action, as they say, "get back up on your horse." So, expect a lot of movement this coming year because you will have the energy of a horse power engine to get things moving along.
I am also remembered of the last time we had a Fire Horse year, which was in 1966. This was a very revolutionary time, we had the Vietnam War and all the anti-war protests going on. There was the major Watts Civil Riots Movement in LA, in China there was Cultural Revolution, and NASA started its Gemini Program reaching incredible record altitudes.

FEBRUARY FORECAST
Full Moon in Leo
 We start the month with a Full Moon in Leo on 2 February. I love the Full Moon in Leo energy and this is not your average Leo Full Moon. There are five planets in Aquarius—Pluto, Mars, Sun, Venus, and Mercury—in opposition to this full moon, which will give it a distinct flavour.
First of all, we get to shine brilliantly while the Moon is in Leo. This is the time to connect with our own ego, confidence, and sense of self and simply radiate and glow our loveliness from our heart chakra. Leo is also somewhat self-centered, its here to learn about personal ego.
Its important to remember that we are all one, therefore embrace your self-love, feel good about who you are, and radiate your inner glow and own confidence. And we need to look at the love for humanity and realise that we are all related. This is what the Aquarian statement is making. Loving one another and realising that despite our differences in language, culture, or political beliefs, we are all one.
Another thing to note here is that the Sun and Moon are really close to the angles, on the Ascendant and Descendant, highlighting a strong occurrence is about to happen and asking us to pay attention. It will even be stronger when we get to the New Moon in Aquarius Eclipse later in the month.
Uranus Ends Retrograde
 On 3 February, Uranus ends its retrograde cycle in Taurus. Straight after the Full Moon, we will feel a really potent energy as Uranus begins to move forward, racing to enter Gemini and unleashes extremely exaggerated energy. We will feel this for the months of February, March, and April.
This time frame is crucial because, while Uranus was transiting Taurus, we needed to learn how to integrate the grounded practicality of Earth.
There is no other sign that is as focused on wanting to feel in control than Taurus. Taurus is a fixed earth sign, and its obstinately resistant to change. As Uranus was entering Taurus, it was attempting to teach us that we are capable and must rely on our own sense of ability to navigate whatever life throws at us, even in the event of a surprise.
Uranus will get activated many times throughout February:
~ 5 February - Mercury squares Uranus: Energy will flow through communication skills. Our minds will be especially charged with electrical energy.
~ 8 February - Venus squares Uranus: This is when there will be an electrical shift and a feeling of excitement in our connections with one another.
~ 17 February - Aquarius Eclipse square Uranus: A wave of freedom energy is in the air.
Throughout February, there will be a lot of change. Effectively control the energy of Uranus. Make sure you ground yourself because Uranus is high electricity, it will leave you nervous if you don't control it well.
Saturn in Aries
 On 13 February, the planet Saturn ends its transit in Pisces and moves into Aries. Aries is a cardinal sign of fire, Aries is all about energy for action.
This Aries energy will encourage you to feel good about yourself, accept your skills, and firmly embrace your areas of wisdom and strength.
Saturn the practical grounded hard task master is saying, its about time to stop your doubt, to have confidence in yourself, and the energy of Aries will back that up because Aries doesn't have time to dilly-dally around, it wants to get moving on with business.
So this is incredibly significant time as we are going to be feeling this for the next 14 years.
New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius
 On 17 February, we have the New Moon at the same time as the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, making for an exceptionally powerful Eclipse for so many reasons.
There will be the Sun and Moon exactly conjunct right on the Ascendant at 28 degrees Aquarius, and the planet Uranus is square at 27 degrees Taurus, bringing in the flavour of a humanitarian driven Moon and connecting us with the big picture world view.
All of this is reinforced by Saturn and Neptune, because they are at zero degrees conjunct activating the Aries Point. The Aries Point brings something into view, making it public for the masses to see it. Personally, watch how you perform, it will be noticed. Globally, understand your personal freedom as well as recognising human rights, and our interconnectedness with different civilisations around the world.
Since these planets are also directly on the Ascendant, reinforcing that something will happen, so pay attention.
Together with the Chinese Fire Horse, this eclipse will be activated many times during the rest of the year, emphasizing spirituality and independence. What begins in February, we have the opportunity for profound development.
Saturn and Neptune Enters Aries
 On the 20 February, Saturn and Neptune finally move in the new sign of Aries. This is the moment when we need to become aware of our spiritual self sufficiency because this is the Aries dynamic, this is what Aries asks of us to wake up to. Aries is about personal self reliance. This is the theme for the next 14 years.
As long as Neptune is in Aries, this talks about embracing and digging within to find our own answers. By going within and establishing a connection with the cosmos, you can sense beyond the physical realm and build faith in your own intuition, then you can tell when there is truth and when there isn't.
This is extremely relevant today especially with all the AI that is going on around us, even with political opinions, as they are both quite involved. These days, the videos we see on social media are fake. Preached political opinions, are they coming from actual political views or from the media that presents them in a favorable light.
If you don't have strong self-sufficiency you can think things are true when in fact they are false. You must be able to check inside and trust what you obtain from within. Learn how to go within, practice techniques which also involves you to cleanse, charge and seal your aura. This is because your aura protects you from psychic pollution, preventing you from absorbing all the pressures and stresses of the outside world.
Mercury Retrograde
 On the 26 February, Mercury will go retrograde in Pisces. Mercury entered Pisces on the 6 February at, it will start its retrograde period at 22 degrees Pisces back up to 8 degrees and move direct again on the 20 March.
Mercury retrogrades are a fabulous. It may just help you organise what you have already started or generate fresh ideas. It can also produce amazing clarity.
Pay attention to anything creative you start because the Pisces transit won't be finished until mid-April. Be mindful of all your intuitive abilities, to what you are making sense of in your own thoughts, which began in early February and will most likely solidify and come together by the middle of April.
Mercury in Pisces is ideal when you match your ideas with love, compassion, intuition, creativity, and receiving downloads from the cosmos. We have this extended transit for a purpose, you know, so use it!
Mars Square Uranus
 On the 27 February, Mars in Aquarius will square Uranus in Taurus. Mars is the God of War and Uranus is the God of Thunder. We are looking at a huge amount of energy here, you can really grow from believing and standing in your truth.
You will experience this energy a few days before and after, and if you make good use of it, it will propel you to the top of your game.
When you are in control of yourself, all these squares and conjuncts can really be amazing. This is when you can really feel self-reliant and confident in your capacity to understand the world.
If Mars square Uranus is not handled correctly, it can become explosive and cause wrath, annoyance, and impatience. You may already be feeling some of these emotions in the world.
However, it will strengthen your belief, if you practice it and trust it, it will guide you and you can stand strong by spending time in your truth.

Every month, I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.
These two Tarot cards are also loaded on my Tarot Mastery private Facebook group for students of Tarot in Action to explore the meanings and share their insights with others.
Each month, I like to ask the Tarot cards:
~ What is the energy for the month - February 2026.
~ What do we need to be mindful of, so we can make the most out of it for ourselves and for others.
Kings of Cups is in the Conscious position, and 5 of Wands in the Unconscious position.
  Summary...
On the surface or the conscious position we have the King of Cups. Kings wear the crown of authority and they are in charge, they are masters.
In the unconscious position, the 5 of Wands suggests there is a battle of sorts or competition going on within, maybe something is about to change.
The energy for February shows that we may be feeling very emotional. Even though on the surface we seem to be on top of things, or keeping our emotions at bay, beneath the surface we may be feeling quite emotionally charged. Its a battle for us to keep things in check and any little thing may trigger us or upset us. Also, for things to change out there, first I must change. Be mindful and keep in the tension.
King of Wands
This King is sitting on this throne on top of what looks like a slab of concrete in the middle of the ocean. He is totally stable no matter what is going beneath the rocky waters, he is calm and in control, he is on top of things, therefore easily in charge of his emotions.
Cups have to do with emotions and feelings. I also like how there is a fish and a ship on either side of him suggesting he is totally balanced amidst whatever emotional situation he may find himself in.
He wears a beautiful rich blue garment and blue is the colour for intuition, emotions and feelings. He also wears a gold cape, gold connects us to the source, the divine and that high spiritual energy. There is a pillar on the right side of the throne which connects us to the pillars on the High Priestess and Hierophant cards. Also, suggests he is a pillar of strength.
5 of Wands
Here we have a group of friends all battling with each other as if they are playing a game of football. Everyone wants to have a go at hitting the ball and hopefully kicking a goal.
The ground is all uneven suggesting change is happening. No one is really in charge and everyone is contributing something towards the outcome. The number 5 has to do with change, a freedom, a shift, an upgrade of sorts, travel and movement.
Everyone is offering their two bobs worth, whether its passion and excitement (red), creativity and ideas (green), compassion and intuition (blue), intellect and ideas (yellow) and/or the unknown factor of everyone working together, synergy (black). Whatever the outcome, it will be a change for good, even though we don't like change, change is the only constant.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC
 We have been gathering for the LunaBears Picnic since 2007. In 2 years time it will be our 20 year reunion.
We raised $790 in October 2025

The funds go directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through Free The Bears, with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
