October is a very important month!

In Numerology, 10 is a number 1 energy. Number 1 is all about new beginnings, being an individual, leadership, willpower and inner drive.

Therefore the 10th month is an opportunity for us to see things in a new way and to bring out a new you. I have always been aware of having a great month in October, because it is like having an insight into the year ahead. Good October equals a good New Year!

The Astrology Forecast below also supports this exciting new energy, so have a read of our spectacular and full on month ahead.

Also in October we have Halloween. This is all about cleaning up the ghosts of the past and making amends, so we can more forward with peace and new awareness.

The Mind Body Spirit Festival readings are continuing online via the MBS Festival Psychics Zoom Room! So far, we have been doing them on a monthly basis, on the last weekend of the month. It is wonderful to catch up with all my colleagues during the preparation times.

1. Astrological Report For October

We start the month with a Full Moon in Aries on the 2 October. Very powerful Full Moon because it will also be conjunct with Mars in Aries which will really fire up all that emotional energy.

It will also trigger the ongoing square with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This is so symbolic of all the fired up emotions that is going on all around us. For example, so much anger with COVID, frustrations with our Politicians, fires in California, the US elections, just to name a few.

If the Full Moon gets really hot for you, remember to breathe through it, ground yourself, anchor yourself, otherwise you will get pushed around by all the intense heat and pressure, and it will trigger you, you may say or do something that you cannot take back. This energy is full on for the whole month, so remember to stop and breathe!

On the 14 October, Mercury goes Retrograde in Libra. Mercury the planet of your communication style and your intelligence, will regress and give you the time to internalise what you are actually thinking.

The Libran aspect will also square Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Here is another opportunity for you to keep your cool in check. Be mindful not to exercise your anger because it will come out as criticism even sarcasm, let it pass through you and keep calm. Best to retreat and meditate instead.

On the 16 October, we have a New Moon in Libra. We are still hanging around in the Libran energy, and Mercury is also Retrograde in Libra. They are also squaring and activating Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn energy. Hopefully the Libran air brings forth more diplomacy and harmonious energy.

The trick here once again, is not to get triggered because the emotional Moon and sarcastic Mercury Retrograde can flare up especially with all those intense cardinal planets. The idea is to ground yourself, use your instincts to tap into the higher purpose.

On the 31 October we have our second Full Moon for the month, in Taurus and right in time for Halloween. The second full Moon in the same month is called, the Blue Moon.

This Full Moon will also conjunct Uranus in Taurus, which will bring through a very highly strung energy, but can also be very wonderful and excitable energy as well. Your choice, right!

If you can harness the currents and ride the waves you can elevate your game to your highest ideal scenario. Very powerful emotional and electric energy, what will the Universe conjure up for you?

4  World Animal Day. Is a social movement charged with the Mission of raising the status of animals.
4-10  World Space Week. With our new Theme “Exploring New Worlds In Space” we aim to inspire even more events around the world.
4  Daylight Savings starts. Turn clock hand forward! Ends on 4 April 2021 when we move the clock hand back.
5 - 11  Australian Wildlife week.
7  World Habitat Day. Celebrated on the first Monday of October. The purpose of World Habitat Day is to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter.
11 International Day of the Girl. There are 1.1 billion girls in the world, and every one of them deserves equal opportunities for a better future.
13  International Day for Disaster Reduction.
16  World Food Day, aims to improve living standards and the production and distribution of food and agricultural products and promote sustainable development.
17  International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
17  New Moon in Libra. A cooperative mood.
19 - 25  National Bird Week & Aussie Backyard Bird Count. Celebrate National Bird Week by taking part in the Aussie Backyard Bird Count.
19-25  National Water Week, assists the community to take actions that help protect and conserve our most precious resource - water.
21  National Ride to Work Day. The day will be celebrated by thousands of bike riders at community and workplaces breakfasts all over Australia.
21-27  National Bird Week
21-22  All Energy Conference. Australia's largest national showcase of clean and renewable energy, returns to Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
24  International Gibbon Day.
24  United Nations Day, making the day the UN officially came into existence in 1945, when the charter was ratified by China, France, the Soviet Union, the UK, the US and a majority of other signatories.
24 - 30  Disarmament Week, highlighting the danger of the arms race.
25  National Grandparents Day.
27  World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
31  Halloween. Beltane. A day when the veils between our two worlds are at their finest. An opportunity for us to honour our ancestors and redeem our past heritage.

2. Turn Over Two Tarot Cards to Answer the Monthly Question

Every Month I like to turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

This month I asked the Tarots, what does the road ahead look like for us, and how will we be adapting to this new COVID normal? I turned over 10 of Wands in the Conscious position and Knight of Cups in the Unconscious position.

The 10 of Wands clearly shows a person carrying a heavy load, he also cannot see where where he is going.

This is also known as the sore back card from carrying too much on your shoulders.

There are certainly many challenges that we are all facing during these COVID times, and many of us are suffering more than others.

For some people that I have recently read for, COVID has been a relief for them. They can finally change their career paths to what they really want to do. They are lightening their loads and getting rid of things that are clearly not working for them anymore. Note that this may take a few months to process.

The Knight of Cups doesn't seem to be struggling anymore. He is proceeding very calmly and peacefully. Yes it is the chalice that he is holding, it is very precious to him. It is something that he loves to do, it holds great power for him and he is very passionate about it.

The Knight of Cups  may also indicate opening up to a spiritual path, and what a perfect time to review ones life during these lock down days, with doing some meditation or yoga or even learning Tarots.

The horse in the Tarot represents a vehicle of moving forward. It also represents whatever this movement is, that it is happening right now! You are actively pursuing your goal. You are in the midst of it. Knights in the Tarot are the most important of all the court cards because of this masculine movement action energy.

In Summary, in relation to the question...
 

The 10 of Wands, indicates it is a great time to shed the heavy load, or to carry it a different way. We may not see yet how this new normal will look like yet. The number 10 is also about the regeneration and the renewal stage. Many of us have done some sort of cleaning and clearing lately, I am still in the process of it, and I feel lighter for it!

The Knight of Cups, is a beautiful energy. I feel we are much more aware and moving forward cautiously. I feel things will settle down, slower than we originally thought. Many people still think things will go back to how things were, but I don't think so. COVID is here to stay and we are facing a new normal.

I have heard many people say, how much they love and appreciate their families so much more. How they are enjoying working from home, they reduced their times or number of work days. Also, not to take anything for granted anymore, to be present, to be in the moment, to be grateful and thankful.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC

In 2020, it will be the 13th year of us gathering for this Annual LunaBears Picnic.

Every year we have a picnic to raise funds to the Bear Sancutary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears org with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
 

We raised $340 in 2019!
 

We each contribute a little and together we make a huge difference. All the funds go towards, medicine, rescues, food, upkeep, you name it there is a lot of work that needs doing and all that costs money.
