Usually every August I travel to Singapore to teach Tarot and Numerology Master classes.

Due to all our borders being closed, we have moved these classes to the online platform.

I so look forward to meeting new students wanting to learn the craft and catching up with past graduates too. Its wonderful when the new students and past students come together to practice spreads! Hopefully in 2021, we will gather to feast around the table face to face once again.

The Mind Body Spirit Festival readings have continued online as well via the MBS Festival Psychics Zoom Room! So far, we have been doing them on a monthly basis. So wonderful to see all my colleagues during the preparation times.

All of my other classes have also returned to Zoom classes, until these latest lock down measures are safe to lift off us. See below for all my new class dates and times.

1. Astrological Report For August

All month we have Mars is Aries. It will retrograde and then go direct so it transit Aries until 2021. This is fantastic and powerful courageous energy for all of us.

It will also make very dynamic aspects to Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter, which will explode the energy more so, where we can really accomplish a lot.

Mars is the planet of action, passion, pioneering and motivational energy, this is the most positive way to use this Mars energy. Be mindful not to tap into the shadow side of the Mars warrior, take heed to keep the aggressive, revengeful, destructful and selfish side in check.

We begin this month with a Full Moon in Aquarius on 3 August.  Aquarius is all about the love of humanity, the brotherhood and sisterhood of man. With the Covid Pandemic, we are so being asked to care about our fellow man, look at how appropriate the current slogan is, "We are all in this together."

The Moon is currently squaring Jupiter and Saturn. You can see them in the night sky all in alignment, they are absolutely stunning! Jupiter and Saturn adds more energy to all this humanitarian connection.

Be mindful when the Full Moon hits, because we are being asked to care for and accept each others individuality. There are beautiful people in this world, young and old alike!

On 19 August we have the New Moon in Leo. I love the creative fun side of the Leo energy.

The New Moon is asking us to check in with ourselves, we need to look for new ways and ask new questions:
~ Are we growing and evolving?
~ How do we let our sun shine?
~ How do we display our confidence?
~ Do we come from our arrogance and ego?

Mercury will transit Leo during this time, challenging us to take the higher ground, to think more positively, be optimistic, to come from love and spread good will.

2020 is United Nations

International Year of Plant Health

1  Horses Birthday. All thoroughbreds have the same birthday so that their ages can be standardized for comparison because of the historical lack of records of actual birth days. Their birthdays are January 1st in the northern hemisphere and August 1st in the southern hemisphere.
1  Imbolc, Pagan Festival and Ritual, a time to honour the feminine and to get ready for spring by having a good clean-up!
3  Full Moon in Aquarian. A sociable mood.
3  Jeans for Genes Day. Jeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much needed funds for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders.
6  Fathers Day.
8  International Cat Day. Cat Day was first created by Colleen Paige, a strong animal welfare advocate, to bring attention to the plight of the domestic cat.
9  International Day for World Indigenous People. This date marks the day of the first meeting, in 1982, of the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations of the Subcommission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights.
10  World Lion Day.
11 - 19  National Science Week, annual celebration of science and technology featuring 1000s of events organised around the country.
12  International Youth Day. A policy framework and guidelines for national action and international support to improve the situation of young people.
12  International Elephant Day. Bringing the world together to help elephants. Working towards a world that protects elephants, wildlife and their habitat.
14  Red Nose Day, support the fight against sudden infant death.
14  World Lizard Day.
15  International Homeless Animals Day. Every day, animals are abandoned or placed into kennels, dependent on charities and goodwill. Do something for your local animal shelter whether it be donate some goods, money or help.
15 -23  National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology.
17  Black Cat Appreciation Day. Did you know that Black Cats are the least likely to be adopted and more often put to sleep!!!
17  RSPCA Cupcake Day. RSPCA Cupcake Day gathers bakers from across the nation to make a stand for animal welfare.
17 - 23  Keep Australia Beautiful week was developed to remind people about the simple things they can do in their daily lives to reduce the impact on the environment and encourage action.
19  World Humanitarian Day honours those who have lost their lives in humanitarian service and those, who continue to bring assistance and relief to millions.
19  World Orangutan Day. To recognize the most iconic victim of the palm oil industry.
21  World Senior Citizen Day.
25  Lord Krishna Birthday. Hare Hare!
23 - 28 World Water Week. Cancelled this year in Stockholm due to Covid 19. National Water Week makes a splash across Australia inspiring individuals, communities and organizations to work together to build community awareness and understanding around water issues and opportunities for growth and innovation.
26 International Dog Day. No one can win hearts like man's best friend and in honour of this bond between man and canine.
30  Melbourne Day. Celebrating 185 marvelous years in 2020. Check out local papers for events and festivities near you.

2. Turn Over Two Tarot Cards to Answer the Monthly Question

Every Month I like to turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.

This month I wanted to ask the cards why there is so much controversy around this Pandemic. Some people are in fear and others are fearless? I turned over 6 of Cups in the Conscious position and 8 of Wands in the Unconscious position.

The 6 of Cups is a very controversial card to begin with, so much going on in this card.

The dwarf dressed in red and blue knows something and he is offering the flowers to the little girl as if he is trying to tell her something. These two colours that he wears connects us to The High Priestess and The Magician. These two major arcana cards are both higher consciousness energies.

The little girl is covered up with a shawl over her head, wearing a pinafore and gloves as is she is protecting herself from something. She looks at the dwarf and not at the cup that he is offering her.

Her outfit underneath the pinafore is also blue and you can see her red shoes poking out too. Its like she knows what he is saying to her but she doesn't want to hear it.

The 8 of Wands is known as the fastest timing card in the Tarot.

The Wands has to do with ideas, efforts and the work area. This gives me a good feeling. I feel we will hear good news very soon around a cure or some resolution to this Pandemic sooner than we think.

I like how all the wands are heading in the same direction. All the Wands are sprouting too. This tells me it won't be just one thing that we are looking at here, there are many ideas flying around and many organisations and countries are working in unison to achieve success for all.

In Summary, in relation to the question...
 

The background in the 6 of Cups is painted with a golden glow as if it is harking us back to the good ol' golden days. This reminds me of pre-Covid days, as we say, when everything was normal. Today, we talk about the new normal and we don't really know that means yet. We feel unsure about it all, this is displayed by the little girl wearing so many coverings.

This so typical of when new things are introduced into society, people don't like it, they refute it, bag it and deny it. I remember when the government was introducing us to the GST back in the year 2000. There was so much denial to it, people were marching with banners, NO GST, etc. Then when it was introduced everything went quiet, we accepted it.

This is why I think we have so much controversy about this Pandemic. People are in fear and they just don't know what to think. Then some people actually believe the classic 'fake news!'

The 8 of Wands, is going to bring us a flurry of ideas very soon. You can imagine how many people, organisations and countries are working on cures 24/7. It won't just be one injection, I think it will be so much more than just that. They have already invented a test that will give you a result in 45 minutes.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC

In 2020, it will be the 13th year of us gathering for this Annual LunaBears Picnic.

Every year we get together to donate funds to the Bear Sancutary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears organisation with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
 

We raised $340 in 2019!
 

We each contribute a little and together we make a huge difference. All the funds go towards, medicine, rescues, food, upkeep, you name it there is a lot of work that needs doing and all that costs money.
