~ October 2022 ~
 Halloween aka Beltane, is the time when the veils between our two worlds are at their finest. It is an opportunity for us to honour our ancestors and redeem our past heritage.
I remember my Mum lighting candles in front of pictures of my Nonna, Aunties and Uncles that have passed over. 1st November is All Saints Day and on 2nd November is All Souls Day, so the candles were burning for the whole week!
October is also the 10th month of the year. It is a 10/1 energy, all about new beginnings and starting new levels. Today, I make sure I have a really great October month, because it is the prelude into the coming new year, in other words, you have a good October month, you will have a great 2023 year!
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, book in for a check up, or purchase the Breast Cancer Awareness Diary and help raise funds and support finding a cure. There are more special days to note in the Calendar of Events listed below...

 The planets will start ending their retrograde phases this month, beginning with Mercury on 2 October.
Mercury will also be entering Virgo, which is very powerful transit because Mercury rules Virgo and is very happy and productive in this home sign.
Expect the breakthroughs with your thinking and new ideas to bubble up. Time to act on these ideas because Virgo is a very powerful manifesting energy. It will be precise and detailed just like a Virgo knows how to do it.
 Also at this same time, Venus in Libra will be in opposition to Jupiter in Aries, right at 0 degrees of Aries. This is known as the Aries Point.
When a planet is at 0 degrees of Aries, this is called the Aries Point. It triggers all the Cardinal signs. Cardinal energy is about leadership and the beginning of all the new seasons. Let's cross our fingers and hope for positive new beginnings.
Aries Point means it's also a strong time for public recognition, being visible in the society. So make sure you are kind and graceful during this time, just do it like Libra-Venus would do it. Otherwise you will be seen as the aggressor and the bully.
Venus opposing Jupiter will trigger delightful adventurous energy. Venus loves to live with beauty and harmony, so come from that higher level and live well.
 On the 9 October we have the Full Moon in Aries. This is a pretty full-on highly-charged time. The Full Moon emotional energy is enhanced by that fiery Aries energy, there is so much potential here.
Aries is action oriented energy, we are looking at movement, letting it flourish and bloom, getting things done, a real hive of activity and the courage to make it happen.
What also adds to this powerful Full Moon, is Pluto ending its retrograde phase and unleashing a whole lot of power because Pluto is about empowerment. We truly have a transformative and opportune time here of standing in your power and believing in yourself.
 Take note of this time frame between 9-12 October; we have the Full Moon, Pluto going Direct and the Mercury hits 0 degrees of Libra, which is another Aries Point, its also opposing planet Jupiter.
We need to really be aware of how much potential growth energy we can tap into from all this flurry of activity that is going on all around us.
There will be breakthroughs and possibilities with your mental and communication, take advantage and act on all the new ideas that are finally bursting through. Time to create new belief systems, verbalizing your positivity, very auspicious time to engage in this expansion energy.
 On 23 October we also have Saturn in Aquarius ending its retrograde cycle. Note that all these planets ending their retrograde cycles unleashes a lot of forward moving and potential energy.
Saturn is an earth element, also known as the hard task master, he brings discipline, law and order to whatever project you are working on. Things will flow much more easier, they will be noticeable in the outer world, rather than those inward restrictions you have been placing on yourself.
We are looking at practical, grounded, manageable and achievable steps, now is the time you will see what all that effort was all about. You may be willing to take on more responsibility or simply set a boundary around something you don't want.
 On 25 October we have the New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio. The New Moon is about having new emotional experiences and learnings. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, so this is a very intense powerful transformative time.
If you have planets in the early degrees of Scorpio, you may feel this empowerment energy flowing within. You may feel more courageous out there in the outer world or may feel like you are standing in your power more. Be mindful of this energy, don't let it trigger you and waste the opportunity it brings.
 On 28 October Jupiter retrogrades back into the sign of Pisces and will remain here till December. Jupiter used to rule Pisces before Neptune was discovered, so they have some affinity with each other.
Fiery Jupiter will blow out all that watery, dreamy, spiritual, intuitive compassionate Pisces energy. Time to energize all those spiritual practices like yoga, tarot readings, meditation and your creativity.
Maybe you will have the urge to drive to the country and have an adventurous walk and experience a beautiful connection with nature. This really is delightful energy, let this graceful and forgiving energy flow through you and heal you.

Every month I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.
I asked the Tarots what is the energy for this month of October? What do we need to be aware of for this entire month?
I turned over 10 of Pentacles in the Conscious position and Ace of Swords in the Unconscious position.
  Number 10 has showed up with the 10 of Pentacles and we are in October which is the 10th month. Number 10 beginnings new cycles, it is a very accomplished number.
Aces are pretty cool successful and triumphant energy as well.
Pentacles has to do with Material and Spiritual values. In this 10 of Pentacles card we have a family scene therefore I would say we are looking at family values and family money here.
Maybe it is tapping into the Monarchs, with the recent passing over of Queen Elizabeth II, the end of the Elizabethan era and the beginning of King Charles III era.
There usually tends to be more focus on material things in life now-a-days and the spiritual wealth is left by the way side. Although Queen Elizabeth II was the head of the Church of England and supported all these spiritual practices, she loved it.
All the Aces are very powerful cards. The Ace of Swords is known as the discriminator and the sword of detachment. Swords represent your mind, at times your mind can be very confused, but with this Ace of Swords it suggests it is very clear and decisive. The Ace of Swords can cut away that which is not needed and can assist in making some very clear decisions.
Maybe these cards are saying we need to bring more of a spiritual focus back into our lives? Is the material and spiritual values in balance in your family? Or do we need to bring more of your material wealth back into balance?
Summary
Halloween celebrations is a lovely lead up to the Xmas which is soon to follow.
Halloween is about looking at the interior world, has to do with past family members, acknowledging our heritage. Xmas is the all about the celebration of new life in the world with the birth of baby Jesus. Both events bring families together and whatever comes up must be a good thing.

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC @ MASTERSONS BAR
 In 2021, we didn't get to gather for the Annual LunaBears Picnic in the park, but it didn't stop us from raising the funds.
The funds raised goes directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang, Laos, through the Free The Bears organisation with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
We raised $505.55 in October 2021
