 You will notice in the Calendar of Events for this month there are heaps of International Days for many various animals.
We start the month with Horse's Birthday on 1st August, then there is Elephant's Day, Moon Bear's Day, Lion's Day, even Lizard's Day!
But my favourite is of course International Cat's Day and International Dog's Day. To honour man's best friends. I posted some every day pictures of my favourite cat Zachary and my favourite puppy, Carlos.
We share this beautiful planet with these beautiful creatures, we are all part of the Eco-system, let us be aware that we all have a part to play and look after each other.
Every month I share the Astrology Forecast, so you can make the most of the energy that is available for you. Also, the two Tarot cards I turn over each month, I'm especially interested to see if the energy of the Tarot cards supports the Astrology Forecast.

August is another powerful spectacular month, On a collective level we have the opportunity to learn how to be present, let's see how we go...
 The month begins with a Mars and Uranus conjunction along with North Node all in Taurus. For many out there this combination of planets would seem to be extremely volatile and destructful. We have the energy of the God of War clashing with Thor, but not necessarily.
The opportunity here is to awaken, through this super electrifying energy, and convert it to a really high level of awareness, this is what brings us to the power of now.
All your atoms are fired up and on alert in your energy field. Very powerful time to be present, very powerful time as a collective to operate from a higher level. This is how we tap into the Taurus energy and bring it to earth, manifest it in reality.
 On 11 August we have Full Moon in Aquarius. The Aquarian Full Moon energy is very heightened alert energy reinforcing the Mars-Uranus conjunction we are currently going through. Once again we are being kept on our toes so we are alert.
Aquarius is very socially aware and community minded energy, this is why I say on a collective level we are being awakened or have the opportunity to get really focused and present.
The Full Moon suggests we are all shifting something on the emotional inner levels within us all. Maybe something is stirring with us and it will bubbly up to the surface so we can become aware of it. When we have become aware, only then can things change,
 On 20 August another powerful event occurs with Mars leaving Taurus behind and moving into Gemini. It will be extraordinarily powerful because it will retrograde in this sign therefore remain in Gemini until March 2023.
This is a very cool and powerful time for all the Gemini's out there. Mars will give you that extra push to breakthrough any stagnation you are experiencing in any area of your life.
Mars in Gemini will trigger your intellect. You may have new ideas and thoughts coming through, an urge to gather information or disseminate it. You may feel you have something more to say. Great time to read and study, or learn a new language.
 On 27 of August, we have a New Moon in Virgo. Whatever emotional issues the Moon brings up for us, when the Moon is in a earth sign, we can ground the energy with practicality and it will make logical sense.
New Moons are about planting new seeds, new seeds on the inner emotional plane. These seeds will grow with the ability to harvest what we are wanted to make grow.
Earthy signs are very good at creating something worthy and practical. They appreciate things of value and they innately know how to make it grow and become even more valuable.
Even though the month starts with an intense electrifying energy, the end of the month definitely turns calmer and more grounded. Whatever exciting new thought you had at the beginning of the month, have you been able to bring it through to manifestation by the end of the month?

1 Horses Birthday. All thoroughbreds have the same birthday so that their ages can be standarised for comparison because of the historical lack of records of actual birth days. Their birthdays are January 1st in the northern hemisphere and August 1st in the southern hemisphere.
1 Imbolc, Pagan Festival and Ritual. A time to honour the feminine and to get ready for spring by having a good clean up time!
1 National Tree Day. Do your bit and plant a tree, see if your local garden center is giving away trees!
1 – 7 National Landcare Week. Groups come together around the nation for re-vegetation projects and community planting events.
5 Jeans for Genes Day. A national day when people wear their jeans to raise much needed funds for research into birth defects and disease such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders.
8 International Cat Day. First created by Colleen Paige, a strong animal welfare advocate, to bring attention to the plights of the domestic cat.
8 Moon Bear Day.
9 International Day for World Indigenous People. This date marks the day of the first meeting, in 1982, of the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations of the Sub-commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights.
10 World Lion Day.
12 Full Moon in Aquarius. A social mood.
12 International Youth Day. A policy framework and guidelines for national action and international support to improve the situation of young people.
12 International Elephant Day. Bringing the world together to help elephants. Working towards a world that protects elephants, wildlife and their habitat.
13 - 21 National Science Week. Annual celebration of science and technology featuring 1000s of events organised around the country.
14 World Lizard Day.
14 RSPCA Cupcake Day. RSPCA gathers bakers from across the nation to make a stand for animal welfare.
15 International Homeless Animals Day. Every day, animals are abandoned or placed into kennels, dependent on charities and goodwill. Do something for your local animal shelter whether it be donate some goods, money or help.
15 - 21 Keep Australia Beautiful Week. Was developed to remind people about the simple things they can do in their daily lives to reduce the impact on the environment and encourage action.
17 Black Cat Appreciation Day. Did you know black cats are the least likely to be adopted and more often put to sleep.
19 World Humanitarian Day. Honours those who have lost their lives in humanitarian service and those, who continue to bring assistance and relief to millions.
19 World Orangutan Day. To recognise the most iconic victim of the palm oil industry.
19 World Humanitarian Day.
21 World Senior Citizen Day.
23-27 World Water Week. Together we can develop solutions to address climate change and other water related challenges.
25 Lord Krishna Birthday. Hare hare!

Every month I turn over 2 cards, one from the top of the deck to represent the Conscious energy and the other from the bottom of the deck to represent the Unconscious energy. I am always thinking of the big picture and exploring for the collective.
I asked the Tarots what is the energy for this month? What do we need to be aware of? Spiritual Guidance for this entire month?
I turned over 3 of Cups in the Conscious position and 9 of Wands in the Unconscious position.
  First thing I noticed is that they are both minor arcana cards for this month.
In the 3 of Cups you can see 3 people rejoicing a big win of some sort.
The number 3 is all about growth and expansion. There is fruit and flowers everywhere symbolising a fertile time, creativity and abundance.
It is depicting a happy time, maybe the month commences with a lot of activity, rejoicing with friends or celebrating a well deserved outcome.
The fellow in the 9 of Wands seems to be holding on to something, it may be hard for him to let it go. That is very typical for us humans, we really don't like change or find it hard to move into a new routine.
The number 9 is all about responsibility, completion and healing. When we complete things properly, we heal with it and then we can move on.
In Summary...
Maybe these cards are saying that something is coming to an end, to be aware of the little wins we have along the way and to celebrate them. An example may be, when we complete our end of year financials. We close off our books, tally up our accounts and make an appointment with the Accountant to complete the process.
There are many wins here we can celebrate, one is that we completed all that paperwork for another year, which is always a huge accomplishment in itself. Another is we completed our tax and we get a handsome return. For others their win may be that they pay more tax!

LUNABEARS LADS & LADYS - ANNUAL PICNIC IN THE BAR!!
 In 2021, we didn't get to gather for the Annual LunaBears Picnic, but it didn't stop us from raising much needed the funds.
The funds raised goes directly to the Bear Sanctuary in Luang Prabang in Laos, through the Free The Bears organisation with the resolve to end Bear bile farming forever!
We raised $505.55 in October 2021
All the funds go towards medicines, bear cub rescues, food, Sanctuary upkeep, educating the public, education in schools on ending bear bile farming, you name it, there is still a lot of work that needs doing and all that costs money!
We have a fun change for our annual gathering for 2022, please join us:
